Cowboy Track & Field holds steady at No. 22 in latest USTFCCCA National Rating Index

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Men's Indoor Track & Field held their spot at No. 22 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Rating Index, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Cowboys are led in the rankings by Fouad Messaoudi and Brian Musau, who are each ranked fourth in the Mile and 5,000 Meters, respectively, garnering a combined 30.77 ranking points between them. Messaoudi's school record Mile time of 3:52.66 ranks eighth in NCAA history and Musau's school record time of 13:11.29 ranks tenth in NCAA history.
Denis Kipngetich (No. 9, 5,000 Meters) and Mehdi Yanouri (No. 14, 800 Meters) make up a majority of the rest of OSU's ranking points, adding 7.80 and 2.63 points, respectively. Laban Kipkemboi (No. 20, Mile), Musau (No. 21, Mile), Hafez Mahadi (No. 22, 800 Meters), Alex Stitt (No. 30, Mile), Kipkemboi (No. 31, 800 Meters) and Ryan Schoppe (No. 31, Mile) each add to OSU's cumulative total of 44.48 points this week.
Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls will be back in action this weekend at the Steve Miller Invitational in Manhattan, Kan., from Feb. 7-8.
