November 06, 2025 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's tennis returns to the Greenwood Tennis Center this week for the 2025 installment of the Cowboy Classic from Friday to Sunday.
Play will begin on Friday at 2 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday will begin at 9 a.m.
Head coach Dustin Taylor will send four Cowboys out for the tournament: Thomas Gadecki, Nicolas Kobelt, Charlie Valentine and Haydar Gokpinar. While up north, junior Derek Pham will take on the ITA Sectionals in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The Cowboy Classic will be open to the public and have free admission.
Gadecki and Kobelt have had plenty of experience this fall, playing in multiple tournaments. Gadecki is fresh off a week at the UTR College Station where he took home a 3-2 record. Kobelt performed similarly at the UTR Norman, also going 3-2.
The two freshmen, Gokpinar and Valentine, will get their first chance to see real action at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
In Michigan at the ITA Central Sectional Championships, Pham will have an opportunity to earn a spot at the NCAA Individual Championships. Six singles players from each sectional will move on to Orlando later this month. Pham will begin his journey to that today against Notre Dame's Perry Gregg.
