Cowgirl Golf Lands All-Conference Transfer Grace Kilcrease
August 05, 2024 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER, Okla. – 2024 American Athletic All-Conference First-Team member Grace Kilcrease has signed with Oklahoma State, head coach Greg Robertson announced today.
Kilcrease, a rising junior, joins the Cowgirls' strong core after spending her first two seasons with Tulsa. A two-year letterwinner, she brings National Championship experience to Stillwater.
"We are very excited to have Grace join us this fall," Robertson said. "The first thing that stands out about her is that she is a wonderful person to be around. She is also a hard worker and a fierce competitor, and she comes in with quite a bit of experience having competed at the NCAA Championship the past two years.
"She and Coach Young have done some great work together the last couple of years, and we're fortunate to have them both part of our program as we head into the new year."
A native of Springdale, Arkansas, Kilcrease joins Oklahoma State after posting a 72.6 stroke average across 73 rounds with the Golden Hurricane. A proven winner, she has posted 15 top-20 collegiate finishes and slots No. 352 in the World Amateur Rankings.
Kilcrease was an instrumental piece in Tulsa's back-to-back NCAA Championship trips under former coach Annie Young and will reunite with her in Stillwater, as Young joined OSU's staff as an assistant coach in July. A steady member of the Golden Hurricane, she appeared in 25 career tournaments, earning a top-20 placement in 60% of tournaments and 10 top-10 placements.
She also carded 33 par-or-better rounds in Tulsa, posting the program's single-season record with 19 as a freshman.
Kilcrease shined in 2023-24, recording a top-five finish at The Ally before catching fire in the postseason. At the American Athletic Championship, she tied for third, firing a 6-under 210 (74-68-68=210) to help lead TU to a runner-up finish. At the NCAA Auburn Regional, she finished tied for seventh (73-73-71=217) and pushed the No. 8 seed to the promised land, birdieing the course's final hole to seal a trip to the NCAA Championship.
In Carlsbad, Kilcrease posted Tulsa's best NCAA Championship individual placement since 2002, finishing in 34th place after advancing to fourth-round competition (76-71-71-77=295).
Kilcrease becomes the fifth new addition under Robertson for 2024-25, joining freshman Lucy Darr (Stillwater, Okla.), Summer Lee (Plano, Texas), Tarapath Panya (Bangkok, Thailand) and Rylee Roberts (Edmond, Okla.) while joining Purdue transfer Sifat Sagoo, who redshirted the 2024 spring season, in Stillwater.
