Jenna Solheim Awarded Louise Solheim Teammate of the Year Award
April 30, 2024 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – Cowgirl golfer Jenna Solheim was awarded the first Louise Solheim Teammate of the Year Award, it was announced.
Presented after the 2024 Cowgirl Pro-Am, the award, which is named after the late Louise Solheim, a leader in women's golf and the wife of the late Karsten Solheim, the founder of PING, is honored to a Cowgirl golfer who exemplifies selflessness, commitment, leadership and dedication to the program.
Jenna, a fifth-year student-athlete from Phoenix, Arizona, has served as an invaluable member and leader of the program since joining the team in the 2019-20 season. During her tenure, she has played a role in two Big 12 Championship teams and as part of the 2021 team, which posted a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship.
On the course, Jenna saved her best tournament for last, posting her lowest 54-hole score and overall finish in her final collegiate tournament – the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic. In her final round, she carded her lowest 18-hole score as a Cowgirl.
Off the course, Jenna has been a leader both for the program and on campus. Earning her bachelor's degree in marketing and management in December 2022 and slated to receive her MBA next month, Jenna has served as president of OSU's Fellowship for Christian Athletes and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee while interning at PING across multiple summers.
Selflessness, commitment, leadership, dedication and much, much more embody Jenna's impact on Cowgirl Golf – and that impact will continue to be shown far beyond her turning her tassel next month.
