Cowboy Tennis Wraps Up Road Trip with UCF, Returns Home to Face No. 3 TCU

The Basics

The 26th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team (15-4 overall; 2-0 Big 12) will look stay perfect in Big 12 play, facing two top-30 teams in No. 29 UCF on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT in Orlando, Florida, before heading home to host No. 3 TCU on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. The Pokes are riding a four-match winning streak, with wins over Tulsa, No. 11 Illinois, BYU and Texas Tech. OSU has won 11 of its last 13, with plans to continue its recent success in a first-ever conference matchup with the Knights and a familiar matchup with the Horned Frogs.

The Greenwood Tennis Center remains a hostile environment for opponents, with OSU owning a 118-35 all-time record, and an 11-3 mark this season.

In The Rankings
Oklahoma State checked in at No. 26 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's latest rankings. It marks the fifth week OSU appeared in the top 30 this season.

OSU's court one player, Tyler Zink, checked in at No. 18 in singles. The graduate senior owns the second-most wins on the team, with all matches recorded on the featured court. He has four ranked wins to add to his resume, including a straight-set victory over San Diego's No. 5 Oliver Tarvet on March 10.

No. 70 Isaac Becroft appeared in the singles rankings for the first time this season. The New Zealand native holds a 14-1 record, leading the Cowboys in wins. A 13-0 start marked the best start to a season since Lucas Gerch in 2014. He dropped two ranked opponents this season, including a win over Illinois' highest ranked player, No. 30 Karlis Ozolins, to clinch the match for the Pokes.

Alex Garcia's ranking (77) marks the 14th-consecutive week in the singles rankings. The veteran is 9-4 in singles action, recording a team point over Tulsa's Timothy Carlsson Segar en route to an OSU victory.
The Cowboys also earned a ranking on the doubles side. Zink and Becroft appeared 35th, going 8-2 in the fall, securing four matches in a row to win the ITA Fall Regional in Stillwater.

Series History
The Cowboys hold a slight 3-2 advantage over UCF, with the most recent meeting, a 5-2 victory a season ago. The series kicked off in 2010 when the Pokes won a 5-2 contest. The second meeting resulted in a 4-0 rout in 2018.
OSU is 8-15 all time against TCU. The last win came in 2019 when the Pokes came out on top in a 4-2 contest.
