OSU Sits at No. 21 in Final Fall SCOREBOARD Rankings
November 14, 2024 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's golf team stood at No. 21 in the last NCAA women's golf rankings of the fall season.
The new rankings system is compiled through Scoreboard by Clippd. The rankings are powered by a points system that considers the difficulty of course, the field depth and numerous other important notes.
The 21st-ranked Cowgirls have claimed a runner-up title at the Dale McNamara Invitational and have placed well in stacked fields. This includes a tie for fourth at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and a recent fifth place finish at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
The team slots in as the third highest ranked Big 12 school, sitting behind newcomers, No. 8 Arizona and No. 9 Arizona State, respectively.
Grace Kilcrease moved to the No. 13 spot after winning the Carmel Cup and breaking the school record for low round with a 63 at the Schooner Fall Classic. In addition, the junior transfer from Tulsa has placed top 10 in all five tournaments this season, the first Cowgirl to secure five straight top-10's since Isabella Fierro in the 2020-21 season.
To add to her already impressive fall resume, Kilcrease was put on the ANNIKA Award Watch List. The ANNIKA Award is given to the top Division I women's golfer. The watch list consists of 25 of the best golfers from the Fall season.
Thitaporn Saithip sits at No. 82 in Division I. The placement is due to her performance at the Charles Schwab Collegiate, where Saithip claimed the best placement of her career, finishing in a tie for fourth. This coming after her fifth place finish at the Dale McNamara Invitational two weeks prior.
In addition to the Cowgirls top-25 placement, sophomore Bushnell came in as another top golfer for the Pokes. She moved to the 102nd-ranked golfer in the nation after a career-tying-low round of 67 in round two of the Dale McNamara Invitational.
