Cowboy Tennis Closes Fall Season

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team saw its fall season come to a close at ITA Sectionals this weekend.
Isaac Becroft fell one win shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championships in Waco, Texas.
Becroft won his opening two matches against Ohio State's Christopher Li 6-4, 6-2, and Texas A&M's JC Roddick 6-4, 6-4.
Needing one more win to punch his ticket to Waco, Becroft dropped his quarterfinal match to Michigan's Gavin Young 6-1, 7-5 and fell in his last chance match to Baylor's Oskar Brostrom Poulsen 6-4, 6-2.
Basile dropped his opening-round match to Ohio State's Preston Stearns 7-6 (2), 6-2.
In doubles, the duo's fall ended in the first round against Michigan's Young and Bjorn Sewnson 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7).
Oklahoma State opens its spring slate on January 11 with a doubleheader against UTRGV at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
