Cowgirl Softball Wraps Up Fall Season with Cowgirl Shootout

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State Softball ended its fall exhibition season with day two of the Cowgirl Shootout as Team Black defeated Team Orange, 6-5, Thursday evening at Cowgirl Stadium.
Karli Godwin blasted a solo shot for Team Black, which notched her sixth long ball of the fall season.
Team Black came out firing as they held a 3-0 lead after three frames. Team Orange responded with four runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead, but Team Black added a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning to jump back on top, 5-4.
Team Orange tied the contest in the fifth to bring the contest back to all square with both teams knotted at fives.
With the game still tied entering the bottom of the seventh, Rachael Hathoot tabbed a one-out RBI single to walk off the game for Team Black.
The Cowgirl Shootout marks the end of the Cowgirls' fall exhibition season. Against fall competition, OSU finished with a 6-0 record and outscored its opponents 74-2.
