Cowgirl Softball’s season ends at NCAA Lincoln Super Regional, falls to No. 4 Nebraska 9-1

LINCOLN, Neb. – The No. 13 national seed Oklahoma State Softball team saw its season end after dropping game two of the NCAA Lincoln Super Regional to the 4th-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers, 9-1, in five innings on Saturday afternoon at Bowlin Stadium.
The Cowgirls of 2026 finished with a 41-17 record on the year and clinched OSU's sixth Super Regional appearance in the last seven years. Nebraska improved to 51-6 and advances to its first Women's College World Series since 2013.
The Cowgirls, the designated visiting team for today's contest, struck first in the first inning after Lexi McDonald drove home Rosie Davis, who reached on a bases on balls, with a single in the left-center gap.
After trading zeroes in the second inning, Nebraska took the lead in the third inning following an RBI double from Hannah Coor and a sacrifice fly from Hannah Camenzind. The Cornhuskers exploded for seven runs in the fifth to push the game into run-rule territory after home runs from Coor and Lauren Camenzind, an RBI hit-by-pitch drawn by Kacie Hoffmann, and an RBI single from Alina Felix.
Ruby Meylan (29-9) tossed 4 and 2/3 innings, giving up six runs in the loss for OSU. Alexis Jensen (25-2), a top three finalist for the NFCA Freshman of the Year award, hurled 4.0 innings with zero earned runs and seven strikeouts. Nebraska's Jordy Frahm closed out the game with a scoreless inning in the fifth.
