Cowboy Tennis Breaches Top 3 In Big 12 Coaches Poll

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team is ranked No. 3 in the Big 12 Men's Tennis Coaches Preseason Poll, it was announced today by the league office.
The ranking tied an OSU program-best, also appearing third in 2016, 2017 and 2021.
The Pokes eclipsed a 14 win-season in the 2022-23 campaign, highlighted by a Big 12 semifinals appearance and a trip the second round of the Tucson Regional in the NCAA tournament.
The Cowboys returned eight, including last year's No. 1 position, Tyler Zink. Also returning is 5th-year Alex Garcia and Senior Isaac Becroft.
In the ITA individual singles rankings following the fall season, Zink landed at No. 18, while Garcia was ranked No. 48. The doubles pairing of Zink and Becroft ranked among the top 25, appearing at No. 23.
Head coach Dustin Taylor bolstered the roster, with the addition of assistant coach Max Koller and freshmen Derek Pham, Erik Schiessl, Goran Zgola and Ty Wunderlich.
The Cowboys kick off the spring season with a double-header at home against UTRGV and Omaha on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. CT.
