Several More Indoor School Records Fall on Second and Final Day of Razorback Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma State indoor track & field returned to action Saturday for the second and final day of the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
Picking up from yesterday, Philip Frank set the stage for the record-breaking day after he crushed the school record in the 60 Meter Hurdles with his time of 8.23 in the fifth event of the Heptathlon. Frank would go on to also break the school record in the Hep by over 300 points with his score of 5,613 points.
Over on the track, the Cowboys and Cowgirls continued their record-setting start to the season across multiple events. Gabija Galvydyte did what she does best and shattered another school record in the women's 800 Meters. With her time of 2:02.82, Galvydyte now holds both the indoor and outdoor school record in the 800, as well as the indoor 600 Meters.
Behind Galvydyte were Billah Jepkirui and Sivan Auerbach, who finished with times of 2:05.67 and 2:07.46, respectively. Jepkirui's time ranks her seventh on OSU's all-time leaderboard. Auerbach also broke the Israeli national indoor record in the event.
In the men's 800 Meters, Mehdi Yanouri broke the school record in the 800 Meters with his time of 1:48.06. The outdoor first team All-American also owns the indoor and outdoor school records in the event.
This weekend alone, the team successfully broke four school records, bringing the total to nine in just three meets this season.
2022 indoor national champion Taylor Roe dominated in the 3,000 Meters once again. The distance star claimed first place by 21 seconds overall with her time of 8:51.60. Roe shattered her personal best set last season and moved up to No. 7 in the NCAA this season in the event.
Earlier in the day, freshmen Brian Musau and Laban Kipkemboi dominated the field in the men's Mile with times of 3:55.52 and 3:56.04. Musau's time ranks him third in OSU history, with Kipkemboi just behind him in fifth.
OSU returns to action next weekend for the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State Feb. 1-3 at the K-State Indoor Track in Manhattan, Kan.
