STILLWATER – Five Oklahoma State women's golfers were named to the 2023 Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team, the league announced on Monday.
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, Clemence Martin, Rina Tatematsu and Han-Hsuan Yu all garnered First Team selections, while Hailey Jones was Oklahoma State's lone Second Team honoree.
Oklahoma State's five selections were tied for most in the conference with Baylor and Texas Tech. Head coach Greg Robertson has guided the program to 16 total Academic All-Big 12 selections over the last three years, including six in 2022, the highest mark in program history. In all, 76 Cowgirls have been named to an Academic All-Big 12 Team since the conference's first selections in 1997.
Now an Academic All-Big 12 selection in back-to-back seasons, Hinson-Tolchard was also named a WGCA All-American Scholar in July, making her the seventh Cowgirl in program history to be named a First Team All-American and All-American Scholar in the same season.
Yu earned her third Academic All-Big 12 selection with a 4.0 GPA. She also claimed her fourth career All-American Scholar selection last month to become the first Cowgirl since 2019 to be named an All-American Scholar four times.
Martin, a rising junior, was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team for the first time in her career.
Tatematsu was included on the Academic All-Big 12 Team for a second consecutive season, while Jones collected the third selection of her career.
First Team members consist of athletes who maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the Second Team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
