Cowboys close out exhibition tour

BARCELONA, Spain -- Javon Small scored a team-high 15 points for Oklahoma State which closed out its Spanish exhibition tour Sunday with an 85-73 setback against the Barcelona All-Stars at Pavelló Esportiu Municipal.
Bryce Thompson (12) and Eric Dailey Jr. (10) also finished in double-figures for the Cowboys who led 42-38 at the 6:40-mark of the third quarter after an Isaiah Miranda layup capped a 7-0 run.
The All-Stars, a select group of seasoned professionals, reeled off the next 12 points to retake the lead for good.
The Cowboys were whistled for nine third-quarter fouls (compared to just one for the hosts) during a pivotal third quarter in which they surrendered 30 points.
Barcelona converted 17-of-20 second half free throws. OSU was 3-for-3 in the span.
It was the last of three exhibitions for the Cowboys, who return to the United States on Tuesday and open preseason practice in late September.
