Cowgirls Finish 16th, Hinson-Tolchard At No. 9 In Final GolfStat Rankings Of 2023

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's golf landed at No. 16 in the final GolfStat Team Ranking of the 2022-23 season, while standout Maddison Hinson-Tolchard cracked the top-10 at No. 9.
The Cowgirls have finished 16th or better in all four seasons under head coach Greg Robertson, including a No. 2 final ranking in 2021. Meanwhile, Hinson-Tolchard marks her second consecutive top-15 finish in GolfStat's Player Ranking, improving upon her No. 14 placement last season.
Oklahoma State played its best golf of the season down the stretch, as Hinson-Tolchard and the Cowgirls swept the individual and team titles at the Big 12 Championship in late April. Shortly after, OSU finished tied for third at the NCAA San Antonio Regional to secure its spot at nationals, a feat even more impressive after all five advancers from the regional site made the top-15 cut in Scottsdale.
At the NCAA Championship, the Cowgirls posted the best NCAA Championship score in program history, an opening round (-8) 280, which was paced by Hinson-Tolchard's 6-under 66, the best individual score ever posted by a Cowgirl at nationals.
Hinson-Tolchard and the Cowgirls also finished the 2022-23 campaign near the top of numerous marks in the program record book.
At 1.85 vs. par, the 2023 squad finished third-best in program history. The top four spots in the category are now all occupied by teams led by coach Robertson. In addition, the Cowgirls carded 14 par-or-better rounds, fourth-most in program history, in just 33 total rounds and sank 11 eagles as a team, three behind the 2022 team for the program lead.
With a stroke average of 71.12, Hinson-Tolchard finished third-lowest in program history. Currently at 54, she also broke the program's career par-or-better record at the Big 12 Championship and tied the single season mark with 22 such rounds.
