HUMBLE, Texas – No. 18 Oklahoma State women's golf played its final round of the ICON Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston on Tuesday, recording a team score of 1-under 287 to finish fourth.
In total, the Cowgirls combined for their best score vs. par, 20-under, since October of 2021 when the team shot a program record 39-under at the Jim West Challenge. OSU found much success throughout the week on par-5's, shooting 15-under on such holes.
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard posted the second-best 54-hole score of her career with a 10-under 206 before finishing tied for sixth. She carded 41 pars over the two day stretch, tied for most in the field, including a bogey-free 67 in the first round on Monday.
With the result, the junior picked up her third top-10 outing of the season in just six tournaments, as well as the 10th of her career. Additionally, Hinson-Tolchard has now played 45 consecutive rounds in which her score counted towards the team's overall score.
Han-Hsuan Yu fired a final round 74 on her way to a tie for 20th. She finished the week at 3-under 213, just one stroke shy of tying her best 54-hole score of the season.
Hailey Jones and Clemence Martin both completed their weeks in Houston tied for 30th at 1-under.
Jones got her day off to a quick to start with her first eagle of the season on the eighth hole and eventually tied her best score of the season with a 69. The senior's 54-hole score of 215 was her lowest mark since the Mountain View Collegiate in March of 2022.
Martin's week was highlighted by a second round 69, her fourth round in the 60's in just 12 totals rounds played this season.
