OSU Falls to No. 24 Cornell

Ithaca, N.Y. – No. 30 Oklahoma State men's tennis fell to No. 24 Cornell, 4-2, on Sunday in Ithaca, New York.
With the loss, OSU moved to 8-3.
Starting with doubles, OSU picked up the point, with wins on courts two and three.
Oklahoma State's Chase Ferguson and Alex Garcia defeated Cornell's Vladislav Melnic and Radu Papoe, 6-1. OSU dropped court one, but Cowboys Carl Roothman and Alessio Basile took care of business on court three, defeating Petar Teodorovic and Samuel Paquette, 6-4, securing the team point.
Kicking off singles action, Ferguson lost to Cornell's Melnic, to even things up at one a piece. The Big Red took the lead when Paquette defeated Basile on court six. Nathan Mao added to the Cornell lead when he took down Francisco Pini, on court five.
Garcia trumped Teodorovic, 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-3 for the lone Cowboy singles point.
The deciding point came on court one, when No. 99 Radu Papoe beat Tyler Zink.
The Cowboys return to action at home on Friday against Wichita State at 5 p.m. (CST)
