Cowgirl Golf Announces Cecilie Leth-Nissen Signing
August 12, 2022 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER, Okla. --- Oklahoma State women's golf head coach Greg Robertson announced another addition to the 2022 signing class in Cecilie Leth-Nissen on Friday.
Â
"We're excited to have Cecilie join us this fall," Robertson said. "She's an experienced player who has had a lot of success on an international level and even has a win at the professional level to add to that.
Â
"We feel she's going to be a great fit for our program with her goals and her drive with golf. It fits well with where we want to take the program in the coming years."
Â
In June, Leth-Nissen won the Smorum Ladies Open in her home country of Denmark, shooting a 70-68-70 (-2) 208 to top the field by a convincing four strokes. The win was her fourth career individual tournament victory.
Â
She was also one of six players selected to represent Denmark in the European Ladies' Team Championship earlier this month, where she helped lead the team to a third-place finish.
Â
Leth-Nissen has seen plenty of success thus far in her young career. To go along with her four tournament wins, she has racked up 17 top-10 finishes over the last two years and has been ranked as high as 275th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Â
Leth-Nissen is the second member of the Cowgirls' 2022 signing class, joining Thitaporn Saithip of Thailand. Together, the two signees enter Stillwater with seven career tournament victories and more than 20 top-10 finishes.
