The Basics
The top-seeded Oklahoma State Equestrian team is set to compete in a doubleheader in Martin, Tennessee, this weekend. The Cowgirls will take on UC Davis Friday in two disciplines. On Saturday, OSU will conclude its meet against the Aggies with the final two disciplines and then compete against No. 9 UT Martin. The Cowgirls enter the weekend meets coming off of a top-5 win against No. 4 Baylor.

About the Cowgirls
The Cowgirls are led by 23rd-year head coach Larry Sanchez, third-year assistants Laura Brainard and Olivia Dorey, and graduate assistant Kaylyn Cole.

"The team is excited to hit the road and compete against two talented non-conference teams," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "A long trip like this will provide an opportunity to get even closer as a team as we approach the post season."

At Baylor: Roberson (Horsemanship), Pacyna (Fences)
Vs. Auburn: Roberson (Horsemanship), King (Flat), Clark (Reining)
Vs. TCU: Roberson (Horsemanship), King (Flat), Mitchell (Reining)
At Fresno State: Nielson (Horsemanship), King (Fences)

Molly Mitchell: Mitchell looks to have another solid season after going 4-2 in Reining. She is undefeated at home after an opening meet against Baylor where she won 70.5-0 in Reining. She didn't slow down as she secured another win against Auburn, 73.5-72.5, earned MOP honors vs. TCU, and most recently bested her opponent vs. Baylor.

Hope King has shown to be a vital rider for the Cowgirls after going 4-2 in Flat and 4-2 in Fences. King has won four consecutive MOP honors on the season after securing an 86.5-84.5 victory over SMU. She also earned the match-winning point against No. 1 Auburn when she bested her opponent 80-74 in Flat.

To begin her senior campaign Sydnie Ziegler has gone 4-1 in Fences and 4-2 in Flat. Against Baylor, she won her ride, 85-80, and earned MOP honors in Fences. In Flat she earned a 75-65 victory acting as a dual threat for the Cowgirls.

Against Baylor, JoJo Roberson won her ride, 75-71.5, in Horsemanship and earned her fourth MOP honor on the season. She is 5-1 on the season in Horsemanship and 2-2 in Reining.

Sophomore Maddie Fussell started the season with an impressive record of 5-1 in Horsemanship. Fussell posted a career high against Fresno State when she bested her opponent, 76-75.5.

Team captain Katie Pelzel is undefeated on the season, beating her opponent, 76.5-68, against SMU. In the first matchup against the Bears, she secured the win with an 81-74 victory.
