Equestrian Conference Championships
Oklahoma State defeated TCU, 11-8, to earn its fifth consecutive and 11th overall Big 12 title Saturday at KSM Bear Creek Farms.
Riley Hogan led the way for OSU, earning the tournament MOP in Fences, going undefeated in the tournament.
After the contest, Riley Hogan was named the Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year, and the Big 12 Fences Co-Rider of the Year, along with TCU's Ashleigh Scully.
In addition, Hogan, Claire McDowall, June Roberson, Abby Budd and Emma Filiatreau earned All-Big 12 accolades for their season-long performances.
2024Â Big 12 Champions
Oklahoma State defeated TCU, 10-9, to earn its fourth consecutive and 10th overall Big 12 title Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
Head coach Larry Sanchez has led OSU to becoming the first program in Big 12 history to win four-straight equestrian conference titles.
"The pride I have in our riders is unmeasurable," Sanchez said. "They stuck it out until the end and found themselves reaping the benefits. TCU is as tough as they come, and our riders hung right with them. It took a special group of athletes to take home the 10th Big 12 title back to Stillwater."
Riley Hogan and Sydney North led the way for the Cowgirls, earning the tournament MOP in Fences and Flat, respectively, after going undefeated on the weekend in their respective events.
In addition, Hogan, Grace McReynolds, Claire McDowall, Emma Filiatreau and Tristan Bagby earned All-Big 12 accolades for their season-long performances.Â
2023 Big 12 Champions
For the ninth time in program history and third-straight season, Oklahoma State Equestrian won the Big 12 Championship, defeating TCU, 12-8, on Saturday at the Pedigo-Hull Equestrian Center.Â

This marks the second time the Cowgirls have won three consecutive titles in program history while it extends their postseason win streak to seven. It also gave them two wins in three meetings with TCU this season and wins in four of the last five against the Horned Frogs.

After the meet, All-Big 12 season awards were handed out. Sydney North and Riley Hogan were named to the All-Big 12 Fences team while Claire McDowall and Jojo Roberson made appearances on the All-Big 12 Horsemanship team. For Roberson, this is the second All-Big 12 selection of her career.

"Every one of them is so special," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "You put the girls in a position and you watch them take hold and take passion of their goal and what they're wanting to do, and to see them reach their goals and achieve their dreams that they've had for a long, long time, that's what's truly special."
For the eighth time in program history, Oklahoma State Equestrian won the Big 12 Championship as the top-seeded Cowgirls defeated fourth-seeded TCU, 11-9, for the title Saturday at Diamond Creek Ranch. Â
"I am so proud of our girls," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "They rode extremely well the entire weekend and really showed a lot of heart. TCU rode very well today; it was a close meet from the start."Â
The meet started with Fences, where the Cowgirls took an early 3-2 lead. The only two Horned Frog points came from Sydney Berube and Raegan Rast when they beat their opponents, 164-163 and 166-159, respectively. Â Â
Sydnie Ziegler, who was selected to the All-Big 12 Fences Team and tournament MOP, defeated Emy Lucibello, 171-161. Emma Pacyna secured a 160-133 win against Ashleigh Scully. Captain, Abigail Brayman, secured another Cowgirl point to beat Isabella Baxter, 173-157. Â
Coinciding with Fences was Reining. JoJo Roberson dropped her point to Shea Graham, 142.5-140. Hannah Lovrien countered with a score of 144.5 to beat Bella Andrews.  Molly Mitchell secured a victory, 146.5-144, a spot on the All-Big 12 Reining Team, and the Reining tournament MOP. Â
The meet came down to Horsemanship, where the Cowgirls took the contest, 3-2, and secured the win.
For the seventh time in program history, the Oklahoma State Equestrian team won the Big 12 Championship as the top-seeded Cowgirls defeated third-seeded TCU, 11-9, for the title Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.Â
The meet started with Fences, where the Cowgirls took the event 4-1 behind outstanding rides from Big 12 Fences Rider of the Year Katie Schell and reigning All-American Abigail Brayman.
Schell defeated Sydney Berube, 171-159, and Brayman took down Raegan Rast, 177-152. TCU's lone point in Fences came via an Ashleigh Scully 154-146 win over Emma Pacyna.
Also picking up wins for OSU were Sydney North, who defeated Alex Beneson, 125-79, and Sydnie Ziegler, who finished off the Frogs with a 168-166 win over Isabella Baxter.Â
In Horsemanship, OSU took the event 3-2. The event began with Mattie Dukes defeating OSU's Caroline Nielson, 145.5-133. The Cowgirls would respond by scoring three-straight points, led by Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year Harley Huff's defeat of Jessica McAllister, 156-155. Cowgirl Jojo Roberson dominated Giorgia Medows, winning her point, 156.5-141, and senior Sydnee Gemar scored the event-clinching point by way of a, 151.5-143., defeat of Anna Hauter. TCU scored the final point of the event when Shea Graham beat Cassidy Watters, 150.5-142.5.
2018 Big 12 Champions
Oklahoma State's third-ranked equestrian team defeated No. 7 Baylor, 13-7, to clinch the school's sixth Big 12 Championship at Turning Point Ranch.Â
The Cowgirls also swept the Most Outstanding Performer honors for the entire weekend. Brayman took home the MOP of the tournament in Flat and Fences. Cohen was the MOP in Reining and Huff was the MOP in Horsemanship.Â
The Cowgirls' half dozen Big 12 titles lead the league. Baylor is second with three.
Along with winning the Big 12 Championship, the Cowgirls also took home several individual awards. Head Coach Larry Sanchez received his second consecutive and third overall Big 12 Coach of the Year honor.Â
Â2016 Big 12 Champions
Oklahoma State Equestrian knocked off top-seeded Baylor, 13-6, to win the 2016 Big 12 Championship at Totusek Arena.The victory marks the fourth time in the last five seasons that OSU has won the conference championship.

"Every year is just like the first time," OSU head coach Larry Sanchez said. "Every year it's a different team and we're very proud of their hard work and to come out of it with a conference championship is just awesome."
Ty Paris, who was named the Big 12's 2016 Horsemanship Rider of the Year today, clinched a crucial point for OSU as she outscored BU's Bray Bergstrom by a half point, 142.5-142.
2014 Big 12 Champions
The No. 3 Oklahoma State equestrian team won the Big 12 Championship for the third-straight year after defeating No. 6 Baylor, 10-9, at Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco, Texas.
In the covered arena, the equitation over fences team picked up a big three points for the Cowgirls. OSU won the equitation over fences event, 3-2.
In the outdoor arena, the horsemanship squad dominated the Bears, scoring four points for OSU. Junior Lindsey McMullen recorded a 148.5-143.5 win over Parris Rice. It is her fourth win in the last five matches. Junior Katy Krshka posted a score of 146.5 in her victory over Mary Brown for her team-high 11th win of the season in the event. Sophomores Paris Nottingham and Ty Paris also picked up wins for the Cowgirls. Nottingham won her match, 145-139, and Paris defeated Rachel Nankervis in a close matchup, 143.5-142.5. OSU won the horsemanship event, 4-1.
With the reining event left to finish, the Cowgirls found themselves down 8-7. Sophomore Justine Peters won the first match by a close margin, 139.5-139. She improved to 10-2 this season and it was her 10th win in the last 11 matches. There were three video reviews by the judges to determine the correct scores at the end of the event. Senior Jenna Blumer picked up a 137.5-134.5 win over Claire Edwards for her ninth win in the last 10 matches. Junior Katy Krshka tallied a 142.5-138.5 victory, for her fourth-straight win. With her two wins in the tournament, she was named Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Performer in the reining event. OSU won the reining event, 3-1.
2013 Big 12 Champions
Down by one point with three riders left in the reining discipline, the Cowgirls rallied, sweeping the last three rides, to defeat Kansas State and claim their second consecutive Big 12 Championship and third overall.
"I kept preaching to our girls, telling them to continue doing what they've been doing all year," coach Larry Sanchez said. "I wanted them to keep focused and not change a thing. Kansas State is a very good team. They were polished and ready to ride this weekend. We were fortunate to come away with the victory, because they rode really well."
2012 Big 12 Champions
The Oklahoma State equestrian team claimed the 2012 Big 12 Championship after they defeated the Texas A&M Aggies in tie-breaking fashion, competing to an 8-8 deadlock at Timbercreek Stables on Saturday.
The competition was decided by a raw score tiebreaker, giving the Cowgirls a 3329-3326 advantage.
"This win is a good end to a lot of hard work," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "I could not be more proud of the way that our ladies rode this weekend and where they are mentally at this point in the season."
Samantha Harrison highlighted the day for the Cowgirls, earning Most Outstanding Player honors in equitation on the flat for the championship. She was 1-1 on the weekend with a 15-point triumph over Kansas State in the semifinals.
2009 Big 12 Champions
Oklahoma State got off to a fast start, winning six of the eight head-to-head competitions before the half way mark of the competition, and finished strong to cap its first Big 12 Conference Equestrian championship Saturday with a 11-5 rout of Baylor at the OSU Animal Science Arena.Â
The Bears came into the tournament as the No. 1 seed, and after barely squeaking by Kansas State in the first round, they couldn't overcome OSU.Â
Although this is the first-ever Big 12 championship for the Cowgirls, they won the equivalent to the title last year when they brought home the Central Championships title.  OSU's tournament title continues their strong outings of late as the Cowgirls have won their last three shows to bring their season win total to nine.
