Olivia Dorey is entering her third season as Oklahoma State’s Jumping Seat assistant coach.
Six Cowgirls have achieved All-America status over the last two seasons under Dorey’s direction. In 2019-20, Sydney North and Abigail Brayman picked up All-America honors, and last season, Brayman, Katie Schell, Emma Pacyna and Katie Pelzel were All-Americans, with Schell earning first-team status.
Along with those honors, both Brayman and Schell were All-Big 12 performers, and Schell was the 2021 Big 12 Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Year.
Last season, Dorey assisted the Cowgirls to their seventh Big 12 Championship title in program history, and her fences and flat teams helped advance OSU to the semifinals of the NCEA Championship.
A four-time letter winner at the University of Georgia, Dorey accumulated multiple awards during her time in Athens.
On the Flat, she was a member of the 2014 All-SEC team and was a NCEA All-American Honorable Mention selection. As a team captain her senior year, Dorey recorded a 95 in Equitation on the Flat against Texas A&M, a mark that’s tied for fifth all time according to the NCEA record book. Her 2014 Bulldog squad went on to become national champions later that year.
In 2013, Dorey earned a spot on the All-SEC Fences team en route to garnering first-team All-America honors in Fences.
Dorey excelled not only in the arena, but in the classroom as well. She was a three-time NCEA Academic All-America first-team selection who was featured on the SEC Academic Honor Roll from 2012-2014. Dorey graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance.
Prior to OSU, Dorey worked for Broadridge Financial Solutions as an Operations Analyst in its Career Foundations Program.
