Fort Worth, Texas - The 18th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team opened its Texas road swing with a 4-0 loss to No. 6 TCU on Friday evening in Fort Worth, Texas.

OSU dipped to 7-9 on the year and 0-3 in Big 12 conference play with the loss.

Doubles competition showed that both teams were evenly skilled, but TCU would go on to clinch the point. Court two was the first to finish, Henrik Korsgaard and Dominik Kellovsky fell to TCU's Tadeas Paroulek and Sander Jong, 6-2. The Horned Frogs' momentum continued on court three with Jake Fearnley and Max Kurzban securing the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Mathieu Scaglia and Etienne Donnet.

With the point decided, court one would go unfinished with No. 11 Alastair Gray and Luc Fomba leading Matej Vocel and Emile Hudd, 6-5.

Despite dropping the doubles point, the Cowboys did not back down in singles play.

Court five was first to finish, Dominik Kellovsky fell in straight sets to TCU's Tadeas Paroulek, 6-1, 6-0 to push the Horned Frogs to a 2-0. TCU followed with a win on court four as Mathieu Scaglia fought to the end before Jake Fearnly would prevail, 6-2, 6-4.

In a matchup of ranked players, No. 107 Emile Hudd took on TCU's No. 10 Alastair Gray. The first set consisted of a back-and-forth battle, but Gray came out on top, 6-4. The Horned Frog sealed the deal with a 6-1 win in the second set to secure the win for TCU.

Although left unfinished, No. 38 Matej Vocel made a statement on court one against No. 18 Luc Fomba. Vocel cruised to a 6-3 victory in the first set before play was halted in the second.

Like Vocel, Henrik Korsgaard tallied a first-set victory on the night. Korsgaard made a thrilling comeback to take the first against Sander Jong, 7-5, and was tied up 3-3 when play was stopped.

Freshman Etienne Donnet followed in Vocel's and Korsgaard's footsteps by battling against Juan Martin. Martin secured a 6-3 win in the first set, but Donnet tied it up 4-4 in the second set when the match was decided.

The Cowboys are back in action Sunday, April 11 in Austin when they face the Texas Longhorns.
