USC Hands Cowboy Tennis First Loss of Season

Los Angeles, Calif. - Oklahoma State's 14th-ranked men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday with a 4-0 setback against No. 8 Southern California.
USC claimed the doubles point over the Cowboys to open the scoring. One court one, Matej Vocel and Emile Hudd dropped their match to Daniel Cukierman and Riley Smith, 6-3. To put the Trojans on the board, Henrik Korsgaard and Mathieu Scaglia lost their match to Bradley Frye and Stefan Dostanic, 6-2. On court three, Maxim Tybar and Dominik Kellovsky's match went unfinished against Mor Bulis and Sean Holt, 4-4.
OSU fought hard in singles action before dropping three consecutive matches against the Trojans. On court three, Henrik Korsgaard fell to Stefan Dostanic, 6-1, 6-3, while Mathieu Scaglia dropped his match to Bradley Frye, 6-2, 6-4, on court five. On court six, Etienne Donnet lost to Lodewijk Weststrate, 6-1, 6-3, to provide the winning point.
A pair of Cowboys forced tiebreakers in their first sets before both matches went unfinished. On court one, Matej Vocel and Cukierman went to 5-7, 1-4. While Dominik Kellovsky and Riley Smith played to 6-7, 1-1 on court two.
The Pokes will be looking to bounce back tomorrow at 2 p.m. when they face Pepperdine. The match will wrap up OSU's road trip before returning to the Greenwood Tennis Center to host Nebraska at Omaha Tuesday, March 2.
