Cowgirls Head To East Lake Cup

STILLWATER – No. 3 Oklahoma State women's golf is set to close out its fall portion of the season this week when it travels to Atlanta for the East Lake Cup. The four-team tournament opens Monday at East Lake Golf Club with an individual championship followed by team match play semifinals on Tuesday and the match play championship on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls will be joined in Georgia by Arizona, Ole Miss and Duke. Action is set to begin on Monday at the par-72 layout. The four participating teams were extended invitations as a result of their finishes at the 2021 NCAA Division I Golf Championships in May.

- The Cowgirls won their third-straight tournament title in as many tries and watched as Caley McGInty won her second-straight individual title.
- Oklahoma State boasts three golfers in the top 25 in the latest Golfweek rankings. Caley McGinty at checked in at No. 3 while Isabella Fierro is at No. 14 and Rina Tatematsu is at No. 23.
- At the time, ranked as the best team in the country, Oklahoma State closed out its third tournament team championship in as many tries at the Jim West Challenge at the Kissing Tree Golf Club this past weekend.
- McGinty tied the lowest 54-hole total in school history, shooting a 201, breaking the existing tournament and course records at (-15) 201.
- Isabella Fierro earned WGCA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2021 after recording a 71.23 scoring average and notching seven top-10 finishes last season.
- Caley McGinty earned Big 12 Golfer of the Month honors for the month of September after recording an individual title at the Schooner Fall Classic. McGinty boasts two individual titles in just three appearances as a Cowgirl.
- In her nine tournament appearances as a Cowgirl in 2021, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard recorded four top-20 finishes, including tying for 15th place at the NCAA Women's Championship.
- Rina Tatematsu was named the 2021 Big 12 Freshman of the Year after recording five top-10 finishes including an individual championship at the ICON Invitational.
- Hailey Jones recorded her first collegiate tournament win at the Dale McNamara Invitational two weekends ago. In her seven tournament appearances as a Cowgirl, Jones has a 74.94 scoring average and 3.28-over par.
