CHICAGO – Taking on one of the nation's toughest fields, Han-Hsuan Yu helped the No. 23 Oklahoma State women's golf wrap up the first day of the Windy City Collegiate Classic in a tie for eighth place.
Yu finished the opening 36 holes at 2-under par 142 to enter the final round in a tie for ninth place. Three consecutive birdies on the back nine of the first round helped the sophomore finish the first round at 3-under par.
She is just seven strokes behind South Carolina's Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, who tops the individual leaderboard at 9-under par after shooting a low score of 65 in her second round.
