Two Cowboys Drop Matches In Arkansas Futures Event

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Juniors Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky kicked off play for the Cowboys tennis team in the Arkansas Futures event on Tuesday, with both dropping their respective singles matches.
Vocel entered the tournament as the fourth seed in the qualifying draw of singles play but fell to Grey Hamilton, 6-3, 6-4. Hamilton will go on to face Carl Soderlund in the second round of the tournament.
The second Cowboy to take the court on Tuesday was Kellovsky. Kellovsky took the first set of the match, but ultimately lost to Carl Soderlund, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2.
Although both Cowboys are knocked out of singles play for the tournament, they will go on to compete in the main draw of doubles play together. Kellovsky and Vocel will face the top-seeded duo of Alexander Cozbinov and Takuto Niki on Wednesday.
