• 2018-19 WGCA All-American Scholar List
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Chih-Min Chen and Michelle Forsland were named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, which brought them to a combined seven career appearances on the prestigious WGCA list.
Â
Chen, who earned her degree from OSU in sports management in May, became just the third Cowgirl to earn four career All-American Scholar awards, joining Pernilla Lindberg (2006-09) and Karin Kinnerud (2006-09). The Taipei, Taiwan native had eight top-10 finishes and a 74.68 stroke average during her time as a Cowgirl.
Â
This is the third career WGCA All-American Scholar selection for Forsland, who also earned the award in 2017 and 2018 at Jacksonville University. Forsland saw 27 rounds of action with a pair of top-10 finishes as a Cowgirl in 2018-19, including an eighth place finish at the Big 12 Championship.
Â
This marks the fourth straight year with multiple All-American Scholar selections for Cowgirl golf. Twenty-two different Cowgirls have now been selected for 47 All-American Scholar awards in the history of the program.
Â
In the Big 12, 17 golfers made the All-Scholar team, and only Texas Tech (3) had more selections than Oklahoma State.
Â
The WGCA recognized 1,097 women's golfers across all levels of collegiate golf. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics as the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
