Bailey, Yu Excited To Begin NCAA Regional Play In Norman

NORMAN, Okla. โ Oklahoma State freshmen Lianna Bailey and Han-Hsuan Yu will represent Cowgirl golf starting Monday at the NCAA Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
Both Cowgirls will tee off at 9:10 a.m. on Monday from the 10th tee. Live scoring for the NCAA Regionals can be found at GolfStat.com and updates will be posted to the Cowgirl Golf Twitter handle throughout the day.
"We're very grateful to be able to represent OSU as individuals," said Lianna Bailey. "It's so close that it feels like we're playing at home even though the event is in Norman."
Cowgirl golfers have been a part of all 27 NCAA Regionals since the inception of the regional format in 1993. Bailey and Yu will be the first OSU golfers to participate as individuals at an NCAA Regional, and are hoping to become the ninth and 10th Cowgirls to play in the NCAA Championships as an individual.
Each of the four NCAA Regional sites will feature 18 teams and six individuals. The low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams from each regional will advance to the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Golf National Championships, to be held at Blessings Golf Club, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
The other NCAA Regional sites include the Auburn Regional (Saugahatchee Country Club, in Opelika, Alabama), the Cle Elum Regional (Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Washington) and the East Lansing Regional (Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan).
