Cowgirl Golf Signee Fierro Wins Mexican Junior National Championship

CANCUN, Mexico – Incoming Oklahoma State golfer Isabella Fierro carded rounds of 73-66-71 to win the Mexican Junior National Championship for the third time in four years.
The Merida, Mexico native finished at 6-under 210 to win the event by two strokes over Arkansas commit Cory Lopez of Monterrey. Fierro's bogey-free second round 66 included four birdies and an eagle.
The Cowgirl signee is currently ranked as the No. 33 amateur in the world, and is coming off a successful outing at the Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship.
Since 2016, Fierro has recorded eight major tournament victories, many against international competition, and posted 22 top-10 finishes around the globe.
She is a part of a much anticipated Cowgirl golf incoming class that includes Maja Stark (Abbekas, Sweden), Hailey Jones (Dallas, Texas) and Ashton Begley (Southlake, Texas).
