Cowboys Record Second Straight Win Versus Big Ten Opponent

MADISON, Wis. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team defeated the Wisconsin Badgers, 4-2, Saturday afternoon at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The Cowboys overcame losing the doubles point as Wisconsin's Osgar O'Hoisin and Jared Pratt defeated Matej Vocel and Maxim Tybar, 6-2, and Robert Krill and Chase Colton bested Mathieu Scaglia and Brady Draheim 6-2.
In singles, Brady Draheim got the Pokes on the board as he defeated Lenard Soha, 6-4, 6-4 on court five. Draheim's victory occurred after Vocel retired on court one, making the score 2-1 in favor of the Badgers.
On court two, Scaglia tied the match at two as he defeated Jesper Freimuth, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. The match was clinched on courts four and six, where Luke Hammond defeated Pratt 4-6, 7-5, 7-6, and Hudd bested Krill 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
This was the first matchup between the Cowboys and Badgers since 1984, when OSU defeated Wisconsin, 6-0.
Over the last two matches, the Cowboys have increased their all-time series lead over both Northwestern and Wisconsin to a combined 9-0.
The Cowboys (6-3, 0-0 Big 12) are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 20, when they will face in-state foe Tulsa (8-3, 0-0 American) at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
