Two Cowboys Advance To Quarterfinals Of Arkansas Futures Tournament

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Dominik Kellovsky and No. 19 Matej Vocel are representing Oklahoma State men's tennis in the Arkansas Futures event this week in Fayetteville, Ark. Both Cowboys are advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament after winning their respective matches on Thursday.
Vocel defeated Cristian Filip Jianu, the fourth seed in the tournament, in his Thursday match, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Kellovsky qualified for the main draw of the tournament after winning two matches in the qualifying draw. Vocel defeated Nick Chappell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, to push himself into the quarterfinals.
Friday will start quarterfinal play in the tournament. Vocel will take on Nicolas Mejia, the third seed in the tournament, for a chance to play in the semifinals. Kellovsky will face off against Aleksandar Kovacevic in his quarterfinal match. Kellovsky was scheduled to play in the ITA Regional Championships in Norman, Okla. on Friday but will withdraw to compete in the quarterfinals.
