No. 18 Kellovsky And Vocel Lose In Semifinals Of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The Cowboy duo of No. 18 Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel competed in the the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday after playing in the tournament throughout the week.
Kellovsky and Vocel met UCF's Gabriel Decamps and Juan Pablo Mazzuchi in the semifinals. The Golden Knight duo would come out on top, defeating the Cowboys, 6-3, 7-6(0).
The Cowboy duo won three consecutive matches in their tournament run to get to the semifinal match. Their first win came over North Carolina's Mac Kiger and Simon Soendergaard, 6-4, 6-3. In the round-of-16 match, Kellovsky and Vocel would defeat No. 17 Yuya Ito and Christian Sisgaard of Texas in an upset, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(13). In the quarterfinals, the Cowboys defeated another top-ranked opponent in No. 13 Richard Ciamarra and Tristan McCormick of Notre Dame, 6-4, 7-5.
The Cowboy tennis team will pick up play again at the Arkansas Futures event in Fayetteville, Ark. on Oct. 21.
