Cowboys Fall to Baylor at Big 12 Championships

AUSTIN, Texas – Oklahoma State's 17th-ranked men's tennis team fell, 4-0, to 27th-ranked Baylor at the Big 12 Men's Tennis Championships in Austin, Texas, on Friday at the Texas Tennis Center.

When doubles play was stopped, Oklahoma State's Jurence Mendoza and Luke Hammond were knotted up at 4-4 with Baylor's Sven Lah and Roy Smith on court two.
The Bears completed the sweep on the strength of straight-set wins from the No. 5, No. 2 and No. 6 singles positions. TCU's Smith was first off with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Hammond followed by No. 88 Matias Soto of Baylor's, 6-4, 6-4 win over Scaglia to make it 3-0.
On court six, Frantzen edged Theodorou by a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3score line. Matches in progress included No. 94 Dubinski in a, 7-6 (7-0), 4-5, battle with No. 68 Schretter of Baylor at the No. 1 spot. Meraut trailed Little of Baylor, 4-6, 4-4 on court three and Mendoza battled with Baylor's Lah, 4-6, 3-5, on court four.
