Cowboy Tennis Falls to Harvard in First Round of NCAA Tournament

LOS ANGELES – Oklahoma State's 17th-ranked men's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Saturday after losing to No. 31 Harvard, 4-2, at the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Tournament.
In doubles play, Harvard's Kenny Tao and Logan Weber beat OSU's No. 83 Artur Dubinski and Eleftherios Theodorou, 6-3, on court one.
On court two, Jean Thirouin and Robert Wrzesinski of Harvard defeated Oklahoma State's Luke Hammond and Jurence Mendoza, 6-3, to take the doubles point.
In singles action, Cowboy Mathieu Scaglia beat Harvard's Andy Zhou in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, to even the match at 1-1.
OSU proceeded to take the lead when Brady Draheim defeated Andrew Ball of Harvard, 7-5, 6-0, on court six, which made the score 2-1 in favor of the Cowboys.
On court three, Jean Thirouin tied the match at 2 when he bested Oklahoma State's Jurence Mendoza, 6-3, 6-3.
On court five, Grant Solomon reclaimed the lead for Harvard when he defeated OSU's Theodorou, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, bringing the Crimson within one point of taking the match.
Finally, on court one, Harvard's Kenny Tao beat OSU's No. 94 Dubinski in three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 6-3, to end the match.
The Cowboys finish 20-9 in the dual season and will say goodbye to four seniors: Jurence Mendoza, Tristan Meraut, Eleftherios Theodorou and Julian Cash.
