Cowgirls Fall to No. 10 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – Oklahoma State's fifth-ranked equestrian team fell on the road to No. 10 Georgia, 13-6, on Saturday in Athens, Georgia.
Sophomore Abigail Brayman extended her Fences point streak to three by defeating Jessie Stone, 85-68. However, Georgia took Fences, 3-2. Freshman Sydnie Ziegler scored the other Fences point.
Georgia led 6-4 at the half way point after taking Horsemanship, 3-2. Sarah Miller and Emma Verplank scored points for the Cowgirls.
The Bulldogs pulled away in Equitation on the Flat, taking the event, 4-0, to push their lead to 10-4.
OSU's Reining team earned two points to close out the meet. Captain Hannah Mitchell and Stephanie Helsen collected back-to-back points to pull the Cowgirls back within four. However, Georgia went on to win the last three remaining points.
Up next for the Cowgirls is another road meet, this time in Fort Worth, Texas, against TCU for their second Big 12 matchup of the season.
