Cash Cruises Through Two Qualifying Rounds at F31 Futures

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Oklahoma State tennis' Julian Cash secured a spot in the third round of qualifying play at the Laguna Niguel USTA Pro $15,000 Futures this weekend.

Cash cruised through his matches as he recorded straight-set victories to advance.

Cash was matched up with David Goulak in his first round matchup. The Brighton, England native moved through the match without much resistance as he knocked off Goulak, 6-3, 6-2.

Cash faced off with Robert Galloway in the second round of qualifying. He again cruised through the matchup winning 6-4, 6-4.

Last year, Cash advanced to the main draw of the Harlingen Country Club Men's $25,000 Futures after winning his way through the qualifying rounds. He was defeated in the round of 32 by Dominik Koepfer of Germany, 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Tomorrow's schedule will consist of the final two rounds of singles qualifying play before the main draw begins on Monday. Cash will face Samuel Shropshire at 10:30 a.m. PT.
