Johansson Fires 1-Under 70 To Vault Up Leaderboard In South Carolina

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — Senior Linnea Johansson returned to form to lead the Oklahoma State women's golf team in the second day of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Golf Club.
Johansson used a 1-under 70 to vault up the leaderboard into a tie for 22nd place. She carded three birdies and 14 pars for a 1-under 70 for the day. Emma Broze, who was 1-under heading into the day, is also tied for 22nd place after a second round 6-over 77.
As a team, the Cowgirls slipped into 11th place with an 18-over 302 with one round to play at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Duke and Alabama are tied for the lead at a 5-over 573. The Crimson Tide's Kristen Gillman is in first place individually with a 3-under 139.
Maddie McCrary went 7-over 149 overall and is tied for 38th place. Alexis Sadeghy is tied for 65th with a 13-over 155 overall.
The Cowgirls will start the final round of play at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
