McCrary, Johansson Advance To Final Stage Of LPGA Q School

VENICE, Florida – Cowgirl golf standouts Maddie McCrary and Linnea Johansson both advanced to the third and final stage of LPGA Qualifying School thanks to outstanding weekends at the Plantation Golf and Country Club.
McCrary, an OSU senior, took a big step toward her professional aspirations by carding rounds of 71-71-77-71 (+4) 292 for a T55 finish at the second stage of LPGA Q School.
Johansson, a former WGCA All-American who graduated from OSU in the spring, was only a stroke behind McCrary in a tie for 61st. After rounds of 75-72-76, Johansson used a final round 70 to advance to the third and final stage of LPGA Q School.
Former Cowgirl Jayde Panos narrowly missed the cut by just two strokes after carding 73-70-80-74 (+9) 297.
The final round of LPGA Q School takes place from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida. The top 20 finishers earn LPGA Tour membership, while the remaining players will earn Symetra Tour membership for the 2018 season.
