Cowgirls Finish Pre-Qualifying at Riviera

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team wrapped up pre-qualifying action at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships Sunday afternoon at the Riviera Country Club. The remaining Cowgirls alive in the pre-qualifying singles and doubles draws bowed out during Sunday's competition.
In doubles, Marina Guinart and Katarina Stresnakova dropped their second-round match, 8-2, to Emma Davis and Eliza Omirou of Wake Forest.
In singles, Guinart couldn't continue her momentum from her two wins yesterday. The Cowgirl newcomer fell, 6-0, 6-4 to Georgia's Marta Gonzalez.
Junior Vladica Babic will compete in qualifying singles beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Babic and Blanco will then compete in the events doubles main draw beginning on Thursday, Oct. 5.
