Cowgirl Tennis Signs Romanian Talent to 2026-27 Roster

STILLWATER – First-year Oklahoma State women's tennis coach Katarina Adamovic announced the addition of Bianca Barbulescu to the Cowgirls' 2026-27 roster today.
A native of Bumbesti-Jiu, Romania, Barbulescu carries a 10.55 UTR Rating and has been listed as high as No. 549 in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
"Bianca brings a wealth of experience and is a tremendous competitor," Adamovic said. "Her toughness, maturity and winning mentality will make an immediate impact on our program, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Cowgirl family."
Barbulescu has been a standout performer on the ITF World Tennis circuit, winning three doubles events in the past two years. In July 2024, she climbed as high as No. 110 on the ITF singles list. Recent results include quarterfinal appearances at the ITF W15 tournaments in Osijek and Bucharest, as well as a semifinal finish at the ITF W15 Monastir in April.
Barbulescu will connect with the program in the spring after joining Adamovic's first signing class, which also features recruits Claudia Gasparovic and Arina Malygina, as well as transfers Jovana Grujic and Veronika Kliuch.
