Cowgirl Tennis Lands Mountain West Player of the Year

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's tennis has added transfer Veronika Kliuch to its roster, head coach Katarina Adamovic announced today.

"Veronika is a proven winner and one of the most competitive players in college tennis," Adamovic said. "What stood out to me throughout the recruiting process was her ambition. She's the type of player who wants to be the best, embraces big challenges, and isn't afraid to set the bar high for herself."

A native of Lviv, Ukraine, Kliuch committed to play for UNLV and enjoyed two successful seasons, becoming the first Rebel to win the Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Year since 2018.

"Her talent, competitiveness, and drive to be the best make her a perfect fit for Oklahoma State, and we can't wait to get to work," Adamovic said.

In her sophomore season at UNLV, Kliuch racked up a 25-2 singles record and a 15-5 doubles mark, putting her number two in the Rebels' record book for the highest singles winning percentage in a season.

Kliuch finished the season on a 21-match winning streak in singles, as well as a perfect 18-0 in dual matches, earning All-Mountain West Singles Team honors and Mountain West Player of the Week twice.

During Kliuch's freshman season, she went 15-9 in singles and 2-2 in doubles, earning the Mountain West Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week once.

Before arriving at UNLV, Kliuch won five doubles titles and a singles title during her time competing in ITF Juniors competitions, earning a career-high ranking of No. 476.
