INFINITI Coaches' Charity Challenge Voting Begins Today

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Brad Underwood has taken down some of the nation's best on the court, and now he needs Cowboy basketball fans to help him take down the best off the court.
Underwood was one of 48 coaches selected to participate in the $100,000 INFINITY Coaches' Charity Challenge, which pits coaches and fans against each other in online voting, and the charities are the winners. Fans are urged to head to ESPN.com/INFINITI to register and vote for Underwood once a day (voting begins at 2 p.m. Central on Jan. 2)
Underwood and the Cowboys will be competing for the Stillwater Area United Way, which focuses on the building blocks of education, income and health support to enhance our community. In their mission they support 22 organizations located in Payne County. Head to StillwaterUnitedWay.org for more information on what your vote each day will benefit.
"ESPN and INFINITI are doing something tremendous with the Coaches' Charity Challenge, and to be one of 48 coaches selected is something very dear to me," said Underwood. "As coaches, we have a platform that allows us to help people in need. I chose the Stillwater Area United Way for a reason – it keeps the money here. This is about helping our community by helping a great organization. All you have to do is go online and vote and you'll be helping Stillwater in the process."
With each round of the challenge, coaches earn more money for their charity. The field will be cut in half on Jan. 22, and the remaining coaches will face additional cuts every three weeks until only one coach remains. The winning coach will receive $100,000 for their charity. Overall, the challenge will donate $349,000 throughout the duration of the event.
Last season, as the head coach at Stephen F. Austin, Underwood advanced to the final round of the challenge, which raised $15,000 for the Nacogdoches Area United Way.

Round 1: 48 Coaches ($,1000 per charity) – Voting Jan. 2 – Jan. 22
Round 2: 24 Coaches ($7,500 per charity) – Voting Jan. 23 – Feb. 12
Round 3: 16 Coaches ($10,000 per charity) – Voting Feb. 13 – Feb. 26
FINAL Round: 4 Coaches ($15,000 per charity) – Voting Feb. 27 – March 12
