Oklahoma State Set To Host 2016 Big 12 Tennis Championships

STILLWATER – For the first time in school history, Oklahoma State University will host the Big 12 Tennis Championships, which are set for April 28-May 1 at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.
On the women's side, the Cowgirls enter the tournament as the top-seed, after compiling a 21-4 record. The Cowgirls, ranked No. 14, were crowned the Big 12 regular season champions after finishing 9-0 in conference play.
The Cowgirls also finished the regular season without dropping a single match at the Greenwood Tennis Center (13-0). OSU is currently on a 10-match win streak, including five shutouts against Big 12 opponents.
The No. 12 Cowboys enter the tournament as the four seed on the men's side, after earning an 18-6 record during spring competition, including two conference wins. Coach Jay Udwadia and the Cowboys will begin play on Friday, as they will face the fifth-seeded Baylor Bears, ranked No. 43 nationally.
The Pokes defeated Baylor, 4-2, on April 17 in Stillwater and boasts an impressive 11-2 record inside the Greenwood Tennis Center.
Each Big 12 men's team is ranked nationally and five of the top six are ranked inside the top 20.
