April 18, 2016 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's tennis squad made its first addition to this year's recruiting class as coach Jay Udwadia announced the commitment of Frenchman Mathieu Scaglia, who will join the team this fall.
The newest Cowboy hails from Fréjus, which is located in southern France. Scaglia was ranked in the top 10 of his age group in the French juniors rankings, while playing numerous tournaments in his native country.
Scaglia received a -4/6 rating on the French tennis circuit, which translates to a 6.0 rating on USTA's National Tennis Rating Program. The 6.0 rating on the NTRP level means Scaglia is a top level college competitor. Coach Udwadia described Scaglia as an all-around player that has tremendous potential to excel in college tennis.
