Cowgirl Golf Debuts At No. 9 In Golfweek Poll

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's golf team debuted at No. 9 in Golfweek's preseason college rankings, the site revealed on Thursday.
Last year's Cowgirls team was composed of freshmen and sophomores, but proved a dangerous squad down the stretch while finishing 15th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
Freshman Kenzie Neisen won the Big 12 individual title, while Maddie McCrary finished her freshman season ranked No. 48 in the Golfweek individual rankings. Linnea Johannson competed for the Sweden National Team over the summer, and the Cowgirls added Chih-Min Chen, who boasts a World Amateur Ranking of 62.
The team opens fall play on Sept. 14 at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.
