Cowgirls Ready To Start Season

STILLWATER -- Coach Larry Sanchez and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls are ready to continue the equestrian program's decorated success for the 2015-16 season.
The Cowgirls begin competition September 26 at home against SMU, followed by three road meets. The first road meet is on October 9 at Kansas State. The Cowgirls will then head southeast for matches at Georgia and Auburn on back-to-back days (Oct. 16-17).
OSU will close out the fall semester at home against Baylor on October 31 and TCU on November 14.
Spring semester competition kicks off on February 6 with a home meet against Kansas State. The Cowgirls will then take a tour of the state of Texas with meets at TCU (Feb. 19), Baylor (Feb. 20) and Texas A&M (Feb. 27). The final regular season meet is at home on March 11 against Auburn.
This season, the Big 12 Equestrian Championships will be hosted in Stillwater. The two-day event starts on March 25.
The NCEA National Championships will be held in Waco, Texas on April 14-16 to close out the season.
The Cowgirls are returning 4 of 5 starters in Reining (All-American, Justine Peters, Erin Willoughby, Danielle Cohen and Ebba Lange) as well as in Equitation on the Flat (All-American, Jorden Davis, All-American, Amy White, Maggie Drysch and Kendall Pedigo) and in Equitation over Fences (Jorden Davis, Maggie Drysch, Carly Barrick and Amy White).
Returning in Horsemanship are 3 of 5 starters, Paris Nottingham, Ty Paris and Miranda Reed.
All Cowgirl home matches as well as the 2016 Big 12 Championships are held at Totusek Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
