Maddie McCrary Wins Texas Women’s Open

ARLINGTON, Texas — Oklahoma State rising sophomore Maddie McCrary rolled to a five-shot victory at the Texas Women's Open this week after finishing with a 3-under total of 139 at Rolling Hills Country Club.

McCrary sealed the victory with a 3-under 68 on Wednesday, which was highlighted by a hole-in-one at the fourth. The Wylie, Texas native opened with three consecutive pars before making her ace, jarring a 7-iron from 149 yards out.

She kept the momentum going with birdies at the fifth, sixth and ninth to make the turn at 4-under 31. After a bogey at the 10^th, she carded a birdie at the 11^th before posting bogeys at Nos. 13 and 16.

McCrary's opening round of 71 saw her make the turn at 1-under 35 after posting birdies at the fourth, fifth and seventh. After moving to 2-under for the day with a birdie at the 11^th, she carded bogeys at the 13^th and 16^th en route to her even-par total.
