Cowgirls Win Final Match At SDSU Farms Invite

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team wrapped up play at the SDSU Farms Invitational on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over UNLV to finish in fifth place at The Farms Golf Club.
The Cowgirls finished the event with a 3-1 mark at the par-72, 6,237-yard layout. Tennessee defeated Colorado in the championship match, 3.5-1.5, to win the team title.
For OSU, Maddie McCrary rolled to a 9-and-8 victory in her match against Mayko Chwen Wang to lead the Cowgirls. The freshman finished the tournament with a 3-1 record.
Linnea Johansson was equally impressive en route to winning for the third time in four matches. The sophomore ousted Mackenzie Raim, 6 and 5, to add another team point for OSU.
Freshman Kenzie Neisen provided the third team point for the Cowgirls, knocking off Dana Finkelstein, 2 and 1, to improve to 3-1 at the event.
UNLV's Avery French defeated sophomore Isabella Deilert by a 2-and-1 count. Deilert finished with a 2-2 mark.
Freshman Emma Broze fell to Harley Dubsky, 3 and 2, and wrapped up the tournament with a 1-3 mark.
OSU will be back in action on April 4 when it travels to Norman, Okla., to take on Oklahoma in Bedlam Cup action.
