Cowgirls Split Matches at SDSU Farms Invite

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team went 1-1 during the second day of action at the SDSU Farms Invitational on Tuesday at The Farms Golf Club.
The Cowgirls opened the day with a 3-2 loss to Colorado before bouncing back with a 3-2 win against Pepperdine.
Against CU, the Cowgirls got a pair of 5-and-4 victories from freshman Maddie McCrary and sophomore Linnea Johansson, who defeated Alexis Keating and Natalie Vivaldi, respectively.
Colorado advanced after Esther Lee logged a 6-and-5 win over freshman Kenzie Neisen, Brittany Fan knocked off freshman Emma Broze, 2 and 1, and Jamie Oleksiew defeated sophomore Isabella Deilert, 1 up.
In the Pepperdine match, Broze rolled to a 4-and-3 win over Tatiana Wijaya and Neisen rebounded with a 3-and-2 win over Marissa Chow. Deilert tallied OSU's third team point, posting a 2-and-1 win over Katherine Zhu.
McCrary fell to Somin Lee, 1 up, and Johannson was defeated by Alina Ching, 3 and 1.
The event's top seed, OSU will close out the event against UNLV on Wednesday at the par-72, 6,237-yard layout.
