Cowgirls Race Past East Central, 122-49

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Women's Basketball tipped off its 2015-16 season with a 122-49 victory over East Central in an exhibition game on Sunday in front of 1,088 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Had the game been a regular season contest, it would have been the highest single-game point total in school history.
The Cowgirls came out firing, shooting an incredible 87 percent (13-15) from the field in the first quarter. The team hit all four of its attempts from 3-point range in the quarter and made its first seven shots in the game.
Sophomore Kaylee Jensen was a force for the Cowgirls early on, scoring 11 points and grabbing four rebounds.
By halftime, every player on the Oklahoma State roster was into the scoring column as the Cowgirls went into the locker room with a 58-28 lead.
In the first half, the Cowgirls shot 23-27 (85 percent) from the field and 5-of-5 effort from 3-point range.
Senior Brittney Martin did not miss a shot until the 2:38 mark in the first half, after making her first seven attempts and notching 15 points.
OSU outscored East Central 31-12 in the third quarter and 33-9 in the fourth with the Cowgirls closing the game on a 16-0 run.
Martin led all scorers with 25 points. She also tallied two rebounds and two assists. Jensen finished with a double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Senior Roddricka Patton dished out 10 assists to go with six points and four rebounds.
The Cowgirls are back in action on November 8 with their final exhibition contest against Northeastern State in Stillwater.
