Three Cowboys Named Captains; Go Inside The Selection Process

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford is particular on who his captains are. They have to embody the right leadership qualities both on and off the Gallagher-Iba Arena floor, and provide an example to the rest of their teammates.
This year, he allowed the team to vote for their three captains, but then he waited a couple of weeks to watch and see if the selections were up to his standards. Apparently, Phil Forte, Jeff Newberry and Leyton Hammonds passed Ford's test with flying colors.
